VOYAGER | PNG FASHION WEEK 2023 THEME LAUNCHED

PNG’s premier fashion platform, PNG Fashion Week launched its theme, “Voyager” on the 1st March, 2023 on its online Facebook page. In its sixth year, PNG Fashion Week has evolved into an iconic brand, providing mesmerizing experiences and opportunities for patrons to witness the latest in PNG design and wearable art. 

When asked about the theme, PNG Fashion Week Director and Founder, Miss Philma Kelegai said “ Storytelling is a rich part of who we are and through textiles and fashion, we are able to continue to use this platform to tell our own stories. This year's theme explores who we are as voyagers, what does this mean.” The platform creates themes, that are unique and connected to PNG, every year that allow fashion designers and creatives to tell their own stories through design and wearable art.

Fashion designers and creatives who participate are asked to create fifteen pieces for their capsule collections for PNG Fashion Weeks signature event, the NGCB Paradise Runway to be held on the 16th September, 2023 at the home of PNG Fashion Week, the Hilton Port Moresby.

With one foot firmly planted in culture and the other stepping towards the future, PNG Fashion Week at this year's NGCB Paradise Runway is the future of culture.
